For educators implementing the Walk! Bike! Fun! Pedestrian and Bicycle Safety Curriculum, BikeMN offers technical assistance to support any aspect of the curriculum, at any phase of implementation. In collaboration with Minneapolis Public Schools, the Education team went to Edison High School for Adaptive Bike Day. The team provided technical assistance and asked for feedback from the students who attended for our grant reporting. Students from different Minneapolis Public Schools came and were fitted with helmets, and were then able to try out different types of adaptive bikes like recumbents, trikes, and side-by-side tandems.
BikeMN is able to offer an adaptive curriculum for our Walk! Bike! Fun! program as part of a Centers for Disease Control grant. We’re grateful to further our collective goal of access to bikes for all! We had a wonderful time outside, the students were all so happy trying different bikes around the track. The whole environment was so joyful!
